ROOF REPAIRS

Professional Roof Repairs in Port St. Lucie & the Treasure Coast

Experienced Roof Repair Services from a Family-Owned Roofing Contractor Serving Florida Since 1971

A leaking or damaged roof doesn't always mean it's time for a complete replacement. In many cases, a properly performed repair can address the problem and extend the useful life of an existing roofing system.

At Packard Roofing & Waterproofing, Inc., we help homeowners identify roofing problems, understand their options, and make informed decisions about necessary repairs.

As a third-generation, family-owned roofing company, we bring decades of roofing experience to every project. We proudly serve homeowners throughout St. Lucie, Martin, and Indian River Counties.

WHAT WE REPAIR

Roof Repair Services

Florida's heat, heavy rainfall, tropical storms, and coastal conditions can take a toll on residential roofing systems. Over time, roofing materials, flashings, sealants, and other components may deteriorate or become damaged.

Our roof repair services address a variety of roofing problems, including:

Roof Leak Detection and Repair

Identifying potential sources of water intrusion and correcting conditions that allow water to enter the roofing system.

Tile Roof Repairs

Addressing cracked, broken, displaced, or deteriorated roof tiles and associated roofing components.

Shingle Roof Repairs

Repairing localized areas of damaged, missing, or deteriorated asphalt shingles.

Flashing Repair

We re-seal and replace flashing around chimneys, walls, and valleys — the most common hidden source of roof leaks.

Vents & Penetrations

Pipe boots, vents, and skylights are resealed or replaced to close off the gaps where water most often sneaks through.

Storm-Related Roof Damage

Evaluating and repairing roof damage associated with high winds, heavy rainfall, and flying debris.

Roof Underlayment Concerns

Investigating conditions where deteriorated or damaged underlayment may be contributing to water intrusion.

Every roof is different, and the appropriate repair depends on the roofing materials, existing conditions, and source of the problem.

OUR APPROACH

How We Handle Your Repair

Finding the Source of a Roof Leak

One of the most important aspects of professional roof repair is determining where water is actually entering the roofing system.

A ceiling stain or interior leak doesn't necessarily identify the location of the roofing problem. Water can travel along roof decking, framing, and other building components before becoming visible inside a home.

At Packard Roofing, we believe that identifying the cause of a leak is more important than simply treating the visible symptom.

Our approach focuses on evaluating roofing materials, flashings, penetrations, and surrounding conditions to identify likely sources of water intrusion and recommend appropriate corrective work.

Tile Roof Repairs

Concrete and clay tile roofs are common throughout Florida's Treasure Coast. Although roof tiles are durable, individual tiles may become cracked, displaced, or damaged by storms, foot traffic, falling debris, or normal aging.

Importantly, a cracked roof tile does not automatically mean that the roof is leaking. The underlayment beneath the tiles serves as an important water-resistant barrier.

Proper tile roof repair requires an understanding of how the entire roofing system works, including the relationship between the tiles, underlayment, flashings, and roof structure.

Depending on the condition of the tile and surrounding roofing materials, repairs may involve approved tile repair methods, replacement of damaged components, or more extensive corrective work.

Our goal is to recommend repairs that address the underlying condition while preserving serviceable roofing materials whenever practical.

Shingle Roof Repairs

Asphalt shingle roofs can develop localized problems from wind damage, aging, deteriorated sealant strips, damaged flashing, or other conditions.

When the surrounding roofing system remains in serviceable condition, targeted repairs may be an appropriate alternative to replacement.

We evaluate the condition of the affected area, the surrounding shingles, and related roofing components to determine whether a durable repair is practical.

Repair vs. Replacement

Not every roofing problem requires a new roof.

When evaluating an existing roof, several factors should be considered:

  • The age and overall condition of the roofing system

  • The extent and location of the damage

  • The condition of the underlayment and flashing

  • Whether problems are isolated or widespread

  • The availability and compatibility of repair materials

  • The anticipated useful life of the remaining roof

A localized problem on an otherwise serviceable roof may be suitable for repair. Conversely, widespread deterioration or recurring problems may make replacement the more practical long-term investment.

Our objective is to provide homeowners with an informed assessment of their roofing options, not to recommend replacement when a reasonable repair may be appropriate.
